This is my first layout....There is something I don't like in this piece....but I can't figure out what it is....so that I can't fix it.

I love the processing on the flower. I like your panel of text, and the darker strip under the title, but I'm wondering if you couldn't make your title stand out a bit more by making it all caps, or spacing it a little.
Also, I'd just move the title up bit and make the block of text a little taller and narrower so you had a little more margin around the block.
